Job Description

ROLE: Warehouse ManagerLOCATION: WellingboroughHOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday (Days)BASIC SALARY: £35K per annumCompany ProfileOur client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their organisation based in Wellingborough on a permanent basis due to future growth, we now seek an experienced Stores / Warehouse Manager to join the existing team. Working closely with the Operations Directorand the Production Manager, the Stores / Warehouse Manager will have responsibility for the planning and monitoring the output for the stores team. This will include goods-in, goods-out, storage, inventory control, and use of a bespoke ERP system used to scheduleand record all functions within the department.In this Warehouse Manager role, you will be responsible for:

  • A proven track record in the management of a busy warehouse team, dealing with the dispatch and return of varied goods within a fast paced and time critical business.
  • In depth working knowledge of inventory control
  • No less than 3 years experience of ERP / Production planning systems, and good Excel skills
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinate the activities of a team, delegating and prioritising work appropriately
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Experience of management duties and leadership skills, including the management of the employees life cycle.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivate and inspire staff and facilitating personal growth.
  • Manage staff attendance, conduct, and performance in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high levels of productivity are maintained.
  • Set strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluating outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal
