Job Description

Senior Architectural Technician Location: Wellingborough, NorthamptonshireSalary: Very Competitive + Excellent BenefitsFull Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (37.5 hours)Our client, an esteemed Architectural Design company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technician to join their team. They provide design solutions for industrial buildings, community halls, and swimming pools. You will be assisting on various design projects and overseeing project deliveries.Duties:

  • Manage and coordinate the work of diverse design teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Review and check for errors in the work of others before issuing drawing packages.
  • Liaise with the admin team to coordinate relevant CPD sessions throughout the year (approximately 12 per year).
  • Oversee part-time technicians both in and out of the office.
  • Manage and delegate Building Control schedules.
  • Mentor and share experience with colleagues.
  • Produce detailed technical proposal drawings, models, and visuals using AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and other relevant software.
  • Provide general administrative support as required by the practice.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and clients to achieve acceptable scheme approvals when required.
  • Prepare applications for approval by regulatory bodies.
  • Obtain specialist quotes as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in conducting site surveys and producing CAD drawings to standard conventions across various project stages.
  • Ability to liaise with clients as required, ensuring works remain within the original quotation.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Adhere to time deadlines.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car
