Job Description

PAYROLL SPECIALIST REQUIRED IN NORTHAMPTON FOR AN IMMEDIATE START - HYBRID WORKINGI am currently working with a well established logistics business based in Northampton who are looking for a Payroll specialist to join their ever-growing Payroll department! The role will be based on-site initially, and then transform into hybrid working.You will be managing the end to end process and working closely with the Payroll Manager to assist with running monthly Payrolls. As well as this, you willprovide payroll related advice, guidance and support to all employees and Managers. The position willbe offering up to £32,000 per annum.Day to Day duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that the payroll is completed in accordance to operating procedures
  • Managing the end to end payroll process
  • Applying any statutory notices
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Process pension deductions,reconcilliations, refunding, reporting, and paying over deductions to pension providers.
  • Ensuring all processes are followed and updated accordingly
  • Cover for Payroll & Benefits Advisor when required
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with manual calculations of SMP, SSP, payroll and tax
  • Knowledge of HMRC and Payroll policies and procedures
  • IT literate - Strong Excel skills and knowledge of ADP GlobalView is beneficial but not required
  • Proactiveness and ability to adopt new and improved ways of working
  • Fantastic communication skills
