Job Description

Hours: 5 hours a week38 weeks a yearSalary: £2,362.44The RoleTo actively support pupils in the dining room, playground and throughout the school premises during the lunchtime period.Key Tasks:

  • Provide a safe environment for children and take responsibility for supervising and assisting children in designated areas around the school
  • To make decisions to resolve problems and issues that may arise during the lunchtime period
  • To monitor children in the dining room in order to encourage children to eat healthy, balanced lunches and adopt good eating manners
  • Set up and clear away tables and benches/chairs in dining areas
  • Encourage the children to treat each other with respect and follow the school’s behaviour policiesat all times
About YouYou will need to:
  • Have experience of supervising children as a parent or careror in a working role
  • Have knowledge and understanding ofmanaging the behaviour of groups of children
  • Work as part of a group and individually
  • Encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
