About the role <p>We have a unique opportunity to work as part of our Commercial Finance team at our Head Office in Wellingborough.</p> <p>Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will be responsible in supporting the Commercial Finance team in proactivily managing income. Thisrole involves working closely with the Central Income team and Category Managers to ensure good understanding of both margin and central income for the business.</p> <p>This role will benefit someone looking to develop their career in finance, in line withtheir CIMA/ACCA studies, its an excellent opportunity that will offer you true commercial exposure.</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate at interview, solid excel skills and aptitude in analytics.</p> Role Responsibility <p>Supporting a Commercial Analyst to:</p> <p>Influence Category Managers to ensure understanding of margin and central income</p> <p>Be the financial expert for the category team.</p> <p>Undertake analysis of the major drivers of category growth e.g. pricing,promotions etc.</p> <p>Identify future Risk & Opportunity</p> You will need <p>Part qualified- CIMA or ACCA</p> <p>Previous experience in a finance environment</p> <p>Strong Excel skills-ideally up to Pivot tables and V-Lookups</p> <p>Confident, motivated and a strong communicator- you must be able to provide solid examples to yourmanager who will present these ideas to stakeholders</p> <p></p> <p></p> Whats in it for you <p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p> <ul> <li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discountevents up to three times a year.</li> <li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
