Job Description

Are you looking for your next job within HR and have project/programmes experience If so then this position reporting to the Head of HR Shared Services you will be responsible for leading the HR Project Management Office (PMO) within the HR Shared Service Centre (HRSSC). This will involve delivering a portfolio of HR projects, overseeing the effective delivery of business-critical change activity arising as a result of continuousimprovement and organisational change. This role is a key member of the HRSSC senior management team and will ensure theteam deliver a customer focussed,qualityandefficientservice to all stakeholdersDeveloping a collaborative culture is key, driving cross sharing of expertise to broaden individual capability, reduced reliance on individuals and promoting succession planning across the service.Key tasks and accountabilities

  • Responsible for ensuring successful delivery of a complex set of interconnecting projects within the HRSSC.
  • Responsible for delivering change and continuous improvement projects within the HRSSC. Ensuring that key Employee Lifecycle and Operational projects are delivered effectively and consistently from the HRSSC (including Pay Review, Bonus, improvements toemployee packages)
  • Leading and developing a team of Project delivery specialists to support the HRSSC and wider HR team with critical initiatives
  • Developing the HRSSCs capability and toolkit for project management and change delivery
  • Establishing workstreams, reporting and governance to ensure that business projects and priorities are supported fully by the HRSSC
  • Effectively partners, collaborates and engages with workstream sponsors, workstream sponsors / leads and to build key relationships
  • Flags risk, issues and dependencies to Sponsors and the HR Leadership Team (HRLT)
  • Works closely with the wider HR team and key Group Functions to drive regular updates, communicate progress to wider HR team and business as required
  • Responsible for measuring progress on all projects and initiatives and challenging the business where required.
  • Responsible for building and driving capability in process improvement and adoption of new ways of working
  • Promote the wellbeing of your team and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved.
  • Feedback on PMO Team Governance, manuals and processes
  • Contribute as required to future resource requirements
  • Manage service delivery on time, quality and within budget
  • Advise the business on process improvements and review change proposals when requested
  • Attend regular incident and Change Request meetings with Wipro (IT service providers) and the internal IT team
  • Attendance at the HRSS Operations Meetings
  • Escalate any issues with Business Compliance and propose controls where appropriate
  • Escalate any issues with GDPR and ensure Kier is GDPR compliant
  • Advise on process for monitoring and measurement of suitable KPIs for payroll performance
KPIs
  • Successful embedding of HRSSCProject Management approach and toolkit
  • Set and manage within agreed resource and financial budgets
  • Driving continuous improvement across the HRSSC, standardise and simplify
  • Delivering Employee Engagement and team performance to a high standard
  • Provide an exceptional service to our key stakeholders and support new projects / initiatives as required
  • Deliver Projects on time
Leadership responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate with all parties involved, ensure work is coordinated and documented
  • Provide support and guidance to Project Managers as needed
  • Support the team in the identification and the evaluation of solutions to Payroll issues
  • Implement mentoring, coaching and support across payroll team members to ensure that knowledge is appropriately shared & transferred to eradicate any single points of failure
  • Carry out performance reviews, development plans, team meetings and 1:1s as required
  • Deputise for Head of HR Shared Services
