Job Description

Primary HLTA - Key Stage 2 - Year 6 Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire - NN8Start Date: After February half term, Full TimeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Year 6 HLTA to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.The school are an Ofsted graded Good school, which is a dedicated & very supportive primary school in Northamptonshire which is a 1.5 form entry Primary school. They have a friendly, supportive and dedicated team and excellent facilities. The pupils arevery happy and eager to learn.The school are looking for a HLTA to work with a small group of Year 6 pupils in the morning, and then teach the full class in the afternoon under direction of the class teacher. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective cover for teachers during their Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time.
  • Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons across various subjects and age groups.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Foster a love of learning through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a respectful and positive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall development of students
Requirements:
  • A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and the school environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, following the schools policies and procedures.
