Job Description

HGV Technician Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours)Different shifts availableThe Client:Our client is a renowned commercial vehicle services provider offering convenient, high-quality servicing, repairs, and maintenance for a variety of vehicles.The Role:As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standards.Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to DVSA standard
  • Diagnose and rectify various faults
  • Attend to disabled vehicles on-site or roadside
  • Liaise with parts department for necessary components
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness
  • Keep up-to-date product knowledge through training
Requirements:Essential:
  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or in a similar role.
  • Technical qualification (City and Guilds level 3 or NVQ)
  • Ability to work within guidelines and meet deadlines.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements
  • Computer literacy
  • Current drivers licence
Good to have:
  • HGV and Forklift licence
  • Main dealer workshop experience
