Job Description

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Finance Director on a Part time (3 days per week) basis. This is a Manufacturing company in Northamptonshire; who are progressing with an investment opportunity and need support from a Finance Directorfor completion with the new investor. They will be recruiting for a permanent Finance Director once this project is completed; therefore support in the recruitment process and handover with the permanent Finance Director will form part of this assignment.The business is innovative, and evolving business, an excellent opportunity to make an impact quickly. The team are friendly, welcoming and hardworking; they are so excited about having the support from an Experienced Finance Director. You will have be responsible for a finance team of 5 including Financial Controller (who works remotely majority of the time),Finance Manager, Project Accountant and 2 in Accounts Administration.Previous experience in transformation/ turnaround projects would be highly advantageous. A presence in the office 3 days per week is essential for the successful interim candidate.Finance Director job duties include:

  • Financial due diligence, management and advice regarding investment project
  • Support and manage the finance team
  • Create Management Accounts & reports for the Board and Senior Management
  • Cash Flow Analysis, Control & Forecasting
  • Constantly monitor performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Lead and develop the importance of ERP system across the business
  • Lead review of business costs, margins and drive improvements in profitability
  • Business partner across the company to understand challenges and deliver change which will impact on the financial health of the company.
  • Assess the viability of the company revenue streams
  • Lead & oversee Audits and maintain statutory compliance
Person:
  • ACCA/ CIMA/ACA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Able to operate at board level and have gravitas in senior meetings
  • Enjoys mentoring and managing a small accounts team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Assertive, as you will need to speak with many non-accounts managers across the business to gather information which will be essential for this role
