Job title: Business Development Manager - Industrial Fans / Air Movement / TunnelsLocation: WellingboroughJob type: Full time, PermanentSalary: £50k - £60k + BonusHunter Mason Consulting is looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in a related industry such as; Industrial Fans, Tunnel Fans, HVLS (High Volume Low Speed), HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), Plant sales orHire, air extraction, Air Movement, or similar for a tier 2 contractor. This company has a global presence and has a reputation for pushing boundaries to achieve results in multiple sectors. They create a team environment where they want people to grow, developand shine.As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence for this company. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, establishing, andnurturing customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets in the industrial tunnelling sector. By utilising your strong industry knowledge and sales expertise, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our business.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and target potential clients and market segments in the industrial tunnelling industry.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to penetrate new markets and expand customer base.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Proactively seek out and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within client organisations.
  • Understand customer requirements and develop customised solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the unique features and benefits of our industrial tunnelling fans.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets for industrial tunnelling fan rentals.
  • Prepare and deliver value engineering solution sales proposals, contracts, and quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of projects and timely delivery of products and services.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments, identifying potential threats and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer demands, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the management team for product development, pricing adjustments, and marketing campaigns.
Key requirements:
  • Degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the industrial tunnelling, construction, or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial air movement and fan systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Analytical skills to gather market intelligence and identify business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
