Job Description

We are very excited to be working in partnership with a client in Wednesbury to assist them with recruiting an experienced Quality Controller/Inspector. The business produces precision engineering products. The ideal candidate will have some experiencein mechanical engineering and have a good knowledge of QMS. We are looking for someone who wants a career opportunity as the initial role expands into all areas of Quality Management and Health and Safety Management.08:00am - 17:00pm Monday - Thursday08:00am - 16.00pm FridayThe main duties will be:

  • Responsible for ensuring that products meet company requirements and are manufactured according to specifications.
  • Measuring components, carry out inspection and tests to identify defects and comparing products against specification to ensure everything meets our companys high standards before leaving the manufacturing line.
  • Patrol Inspections.
  • First off inspection.
  • Inspection of incoming goods.
  • Internal Audits.
  • Sample inspection reports.
  • multi-axis CNC &
  • Managing QMS.
  • Statistical process Control.
  • Supplier Quality Assurance.
  • Preparation of Quality Reports and Meetings.
  • Calibration of measuring equipment; internal and external.
The successful person will have the following skills:
  • Be self-motivating and driven.
  • Have proven experience as a Quality Inspector or relevant role.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Familiar with quality measuring machines and equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Certification of quality control is advantageous; City and Guilds or IQA.
  • Communication and people skills.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Good maths and technical skills are hugely advantageous
