Our network is designed to provide fast, convenient, and eco-friendly transportation solutionsto residents and visitors alike.We take pride in offering a safe, secure, reliable and sustainable mode of travel that reduces congestion on the roads, lowers carbon emissions, and fosters a greener future for the West Midlands.We now have an incredible opportunity for a Managing Director to lead the team, assuming overall operational and financial control across the business alongside the responsibility of the strategic and day to day management of Midland Metro Limited (MML).A snippet of your duties and responsibilities are:

  • Ensuring the development and delivery of the approved Business Plan including associated health, safety, environmental and financial objectives.
  • Leading transformational change.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including the Owner (West Midlands Combined Authority).
  • Full day to day responsibility for the financial performance of MML.
  • Ensuring that MML undertakes the operation and maintenance of the West Midlands Metro in accordance with the terms of the Public Service Contract.
  • Developing a long-term sustainability plan.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety.
In order to be successful in this role it’s essential you meet the following points:
  • Have previous experience in operating at senior strategic leadership level in a similar safety critical and regulated environment.
  • Have a high level of political awareness and the ability to manage delicate situations.
