Job Description

Machinist - Full Time Wednesbury, WS10From £26,000 to £28,000 PAManpower is currently recruiting on behalf of an International leading designer and manufacture of lifting and handling equipment company. Our client has been operating in the UK construction, infrastructure, industrial, utilities, events and facilitiesmanagement markets for over 200 years.They are now looking for a Machinist to join their team in Wednesbury, WS10.The role:To set and operate the machine tools producing new and refurbished components to sample or drawing;

  • Able to safely set and operate manual/semi-CNC lathes, borers as well as milling machines and radial drills.
  • Successfully complete pre-safety checks of all equipment before use.
  • Carry out various manufacturing tasks efficiently producing a high-quality finish within a set time frame and budget.
  • Assist with the refurbishment and assembly of overhauled equipment and supply of associated spare parts in the workshop.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, working as part of a team to problem solve and find cost effective solutions.
  • Work with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure accurate and on time completion of machining requirements, completing Workshop Documentation, Quality Plans, Workshop Instruction, and all relevant Inspection records to meet departmental daily/weekly work schedules.
Skills:
  • Time served craftsperson in appropriate discipline or relevant qualifications and job experience.
  • Experience of operating a Harrison 400 Type Centre (Desired)
  • Ability to listen in accordance of company and customer specific requirements.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Benefits:
