Job Description

Logistics Manager 3 month FTC - Role: Contract Manager - Location: Wednesbury - Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - Wage: Will be around £35k to £38k Per Annum - Contract is for 3 Months - Candidate must have a driving licence and also be flexible. Ideally they will live close to Wednesbury but will need to travel to Liverpool once a week - Experience in Transport/Logistics/3PL/HGV is mandatory. - Looking for someone to start ASAPContract ManagerWhat your day will look like: - Build and maintain excellent customer relationships with the client in order to develop a constantly improving service and achieve profitable business growth - Hold regular customer reviews and provide them with clear business and operational reports with supporting analysis. - Ensure all operational performance standards are met, monitored and maintained in accordance with contractual service level agreements. - Take an active role in the Contracts growth strategy, through responsibility for key account development initiatives and identifying potential new customers - Work within annual operating budget and enable good profit reporting through establishing and monitoring KPIs - Ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met with particular emphasis on tachograph, drivers hours, maintenance schedules and records. Exercise operational controls in order to protect the companys Operators License and regularly audit systemsto ensure compliance - Where directs report to this role, set clear goals and targets through the PDR process, recognise good performance and professionally manage poor performance - Manage & support an effective operational process, which ensures integrity of customer / suppliers service requirements - Manage commercial aspects of a transport operation to meet profit and service/quality targets - Uphold and maintain highest standards of Health & Safety - Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs - Ensuring customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled and recorded manner - Analyse and understand the cash flow within the depot - Support the personal development of all people employed on the Depot - Supporting with continuous improvement and new business wins outside prime work - Location inclusive SMART operations Additional Benefits: - Healthshield: free cash healthcare scheme for all employees including dependent children; o Dental, optical, physiotherapy, health screening, 24/7 counselling and more - Employee perks: discount on trips, hotels, gyms, days out, restaurants, supermarkets and more - Discount on mobile phone contracts with EE; - Expanding portfolio of training opportunities and development plans What they need from you: - Right To Work in the UK - Experienced Logistics professional, graduate or with relevant qualifications who has thorough understanding of Warehouse & Transport Operations - Demonstrable experience of customer relationship management - Has experience of transport networks, planning, modeling and solution design - Holds CPC National and International - Proven capability of leading a function - Experience of efficiency savings and business growth - Good financial and business acumen with experience of managing budgets - Has good Project Management skills The working hours will be 8 hours a day. We are flexible with start times so anywhere between 8am and 10am as some days they may be required to start earlier and other be there later so something to bear in mind. Also just to re-iterate, the role is only 3 Months, there may be possibility for extension but we are working solely off this 3 Month period so please make sure all candidates know that too.
