Business Development ExecutiveSalary: £20,800 /year + OTE = £7,200 (uncapped)ABOUT MSCWe are a leader in the supply of Metalworking and Maintenance, Repair and Operations products and services, currently employing over 240 people from our head office in Wednesbury.ABOUT THE INTERNAL SALES TEAMOur Internal Sales Team are essential to the success of our business, ensuring sales growth across the MSC client base, delivering innovative, market-leading products and services to support our customer value proposition (CVP).Our client base has unique problems that need solving and our sales strategy requires our sales team to build and leverage relationships with key decision-makers to build trust and offer services and solutions which help them to fuel their potential.The internal sales team look to partner with our customers to grow, maintain and protect relationships and business. The primary function is to speak to as many customers and key decision-makers as possible to influence their thinking, create demand about how their current suppliers support them and their business growth and win business.Speaking with Purchasing managers, Engineering Managers, Production Managers and Workshop Managers partnering with our customers to prospect for, grow, maintain and protect relationships, thinking creatively in optimising sales opportunities and providing solutions and services to overcome the challenges our customers encounter in their day to day operationsThe focus and deliverables include:

  • YOUR PART IN THE TEAMWe are looking to recruit an energetic, passionate and enthusiastic individual, who is able to make commercial decisions and deliver results able to identify and closeout high-net sales delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth to enable us to achieve our ambition to "Double in 5"Based in our Wednesbury head office, as an Internal Business Development Executive, you will work alongside a Field-based Territory Account Manager to identify sales opportunities within existing and new customers.Our value proposition sales strategy means you will be required to build and leverage relationships with key decision-makers to build trust and offer services and solutions which help them to grow faster, drive down costs and become more profitableYou will be responsible for a client base within a specified geographical area and required to generate high levels of productivity, to prospect, grow and maintain your customers, ensuring early engagement at key points of influence in the buying process to enable sales revenue and margin targets are achieved and exceeded.Working closely with other members of the Sales Team to understand our customers and their needs - you will be their champion, translating their challenges and questions into solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, account retention, revenue generation and optimising sales by constructing sound commercial deals.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED AND HELP TRANSFORM OUR BUSINESSTo succeed in this role, you will thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment, be energetic, highly likeable, enthusiastic and have a desire to be part of a Sales team, which others aspire to be part of or emulateYour energy and strong desire to succeed will drive high levels of productivity, ensuring early engagement within our customers buying process to enable sales revenue and margin targets are achieved and exceededYou are committed to getting stuff done with pace, energy and passion and will deliver.
