Job Description

  • A unrivalled opportunity for someone who wants to progress in the future to Finance Business Partner.
  • You will be trained, mentored and supported by 6 qualified Finance Business Partners.
Client DetailsMy client is a successful and profitable large Group of companies. You will predominantly work from home, but on c. 1 day per week, you will be based from the office in Wednesbury.DescriptionYou will be reporting into the Head of Finance, but will be supporting 6 Finance Business Partners with the production of month end accounts for a number of companies and sites within the Group. Once you are fully trained on supporting the Finance BusinessPartners, you will then be able to take on your own accounts and work more closely with the non-finance stakeholders. Once you have received all the necessary training, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Preparing various monthly P&L and balance sheet
  • Liaising with non-finance stakeholders at the various sites
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Fixed asset register
  • Leases
  • Bad debts
  • Rebates
  • Control account reconciliations
  • Payroll reporting
  • VAT reporting
  • Intrastat reporting
  • Ah hoc analysis, which might include analysis of overheads, stock and salaries
ProfileTo apply for the position, you do not need experience of all of the above duties, as training will be provided, but you:
  • Must have experience in management accounts and month end accounts
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills
  • Will ideally will want to progress in the future to a Finance Business Partner role, but this is not essential
  • Will ideally be studying CIMA, ACCA or AAT
Job Offer
  • £28,000 - £33,000 (depending upon experience)
  • Full study support for AAT, CIMA or ACCA
  • Lots of home working (if desired), which is usually a minimum of 4 days PW from home
  • Discretionary annual bonus, which is usually between £1,000 and £3,000
  • Lots of training, mentoring and support from 6 qualified Finance Business Partners
  • Progression in the future to Finance Business Partner
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible start and finish hours, but standard hours are 8:30-5 Monday to Friday, and 8:30-4:30 on Fridays
