Job Description

Attention all Technology Teachers! A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen in Watford, Hertfordshire for a permanent post starting in September 2023.Our partner, an 11-18 Academy School, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Technology Teacher to join their large and well-resourced Technology Department. Whether you are an experienced teacher, Early Career Teacher or Newly Qualified Teacher, we wantto hear from you.As an ideal candidate, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. You will have a positive attitude towards teaching and learning and be committed to your own continuing professionaldevelopment.You should have experience teaching at KS3 to KS4 levels, demonstrate a track record of achieving high outcomes from your students, and proficiency in using IT to support effective teaching and learning.The key requirements for this role are:* UK QTS and experience of working with several year groups across KS4-KS5* A secure knowledge of your subject and curriculum areas, fostering and maintaining pupils interest in the subject, and addressing misunderstandings* High expectations of behaviour and establishing a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions, and rewards consistently and fairly* A clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and motivate studentsThe school is Ofsted rated Good with outstanding leadership and management, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and students.
