Are you a dynamic individual who wants to grow and develop in a company thats revolutionising retailAre you highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines under pressureDo you have strong experience in Supply OperationsIf you have answered yes to these questions, Majestic Wine would be delighted to hear from you!We are looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain Operations to join our Team at Majestic WineThe RoleAs Head of Supply Chain Operations for Majestic Wine,the core responsibilities are being accountable for the end to end logical supply process. From supplier through to store, ensuring we have the right stock in the right place to support the sales plan, for Retail and Commercial. Includes accountability for the final mile delivery via our 200 stores through the van network to our customers and for our HGV network that delivers to stores.Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the Supply Chain logical supply process and team, ensuring stock & availability targets are met in order to satisfy forecasted demand and operational metrics.
  • Drives continuous improvement processes that sees Majestic Wines Supply Chain Operations solution as ‘Best in Class’ within the wine industry
  • Accountable for the final mile delivery proposition to customers via a 200 store network that delivers the right stock at the right time within budget.
  • Accountable for the HGV network that delivers a timely and efficient service to 200 stores within all legislative requirements
  • Accountable for forecasting and replenishment processes that drives optimum service to customers whilst driving stock turn improvement.
  • Timely communication, management and supply chain execution of all promotional and seasonal events.
  • Accountable for the forward visibility of purchase order intake data sharing with the business that drives optimum currency hedging decisions
  • Working with Buying and Merchandising to maintain accurate sales forecasts by product and season and translates into a purchase plan inline with the agreed WSSI process
  • Accountable for the freight process, from cost to serve, purchase order delivery to plan and identification of continuous improvement processes that reduces cost and improves service
  • Take lead roles with Retail teams in all stock and availability queries and discussions, including store visits and liaison with the central Retail operations team.
  • Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • 7 years experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management and proven experience in managing ain-house distribution centre
  • Ability to communicate at Board level as well as work across the organization.
  • Great at building effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to interrogate systems, analyse data and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be well organized, work to tight deadlines - Able to work at pace and be comfortable with change.
  • Proven ability at delivering on time and to a high standard in a fast moving environment
  • Experience in developing business cases and managing change programmes
  • Strong people management and development experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management by communicating effectively and persuasively, ensuring key messages are presented with impact.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations, Supply Chain management techniques, data analysis and project management are distinct advantages.
  • Adapts influencing style to achieve a positive business outcome that maintains successful relationships.
  • Quality, analysis-based, decision making, covering complex business scenarios, made at pace and in line with lead times required to deliver practical solutions.
  • Working closely with Cross functional teams to optimise and drive improvement in availability, supplier fulfilment and inbound flow planning.
  • Work with wider logistics/operations team in order to team to deliver out of hours support where required on operational issues.
