Job Description

Head of FP&A£80,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & benefitsAila is excited to announce a partnership with a leading manufacturing business in Watford on the recruitment of a senior finance leader, joining as a Head of FP&A on a permanent basis, leading a team of 3.This role will take ownership of the month-end accounting and analysis of a global organisation with a collaborative working culture and fantastic benefits.You’ll be working in the UK division of a global business that is impact focused and has grown substantially in the last few years. As Head of FP&A, you’ll take the lead on the monthly management accounting and reporting the numbers across the SLT, as wellas looking after the budgets and forecasts whilst leading a small team.As a business, they offer a personable, friendly and extremely secure environment for you to thrive in with excellent benefits and hybrid working.Although this role heads up FP&A, you also have responsibility for the month end management accounting team, so it’s important that you’re an ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified Accountant that has worked in a varied finance role, covering management accounts and FP&Awithin a large business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tailored monthly financial reporting including insightful commercial analysis, concise commentary on business performance, KPIs and trends globally
  • Report on sales, margins, manufacturing, overheads and working capital to facilitate effective decision making within the business
  • Take lead on driving processes for budgeting, forecasting and reporting of actuals
  • Budget and forecast opex costs in the central functions and consolidate reports
  • Lead group FP&A in providing detailed analysis supporting Opex forecasting and cost control
  • Ensure reporting responsibilities are met on time with integrity
  • Manage the reporting and analysis on headcount and workforce costs of the organisation
  • Provide balance sheet analysis to highlight risks and opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement in the company’s financial reporting
  • Identify and implement best practices and establish standard FP&A routines
  • Prepare the monthly reporting timetable and coordinate achievement of the deadlines
  • Coordinate the budget processes and prepare timely and accurate consolidated information
  • Prepare timely and accurate consolidated information packs and analysis for the Divisional 5 Year Plan
