Are you a dynamic individual who wants to grow and develop in a company thats revolutionising retailAre you highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines under pressureDo you have strong experience within Ecom LogisticsIf you have answered yes to these questions, Majestic Wine would be delighted to hear from you!We are looking for an experienced Head of Ecom Logistics to join our Team at Majestic WineThe RoleAs Head of Ecom Logistics for Majestic Wine the core responsibilities include ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a satisfactory cost. You will be responsible for managing the relationships with 3rd parties. You will be accountable for the end to end logistics fulfilment ‘warehouse to customer’ for Majestic Wine with direct budgetary control.Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with all 3PLs to ensure delivery of operational targets to SLA and cost
  • Accountable for budget creation and delivery of plan to budget including managing the spend within the budget for warehousing, postage, packaging
  • Enabling the Supply Chain team to ensure stock & availability targets are met in order to satisfy forecasted E-commerce demand operational metrics.
  • Produce and publish performance dashboards, with SLAs / costs to key stakeholders
  • Drives continuous improvement processes that sees Majestic Wines online fulfilment solution as ‘Best in Class’ within the wine industry
  • Drives the planning process, both volume planning and capacity planning, for all Ecom routes to market to ensure efficiency and optimum service
  • Responsible for all 3PL relationships, performance management, contract management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage Carrier contracts, including volume planning, implementation of new solutions via Metapack and daily performance requirements.
  • Manage availability of consumables, including .com packaging
  • Work closely with the Customer Contact Centre team to ensure prompt and proactive resolution of issues and root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Working closely with Cross functional teams to optimise and drive improvement in availability, supplier fulfilment and inbound flow planning.
  • Work with wider logistics/operations team in order to team to deliver out of hours support where required on operational issues.
  • Responsible for resolving any issues with Majestics’ Distribution Centre, as well as externally with service providers such as carriers.
  • Report performance on 3PL operational KPIs and identify and drive potential process improvements. Ensure that the business have ready access to all key performance data and that a roadmap for improvements is in place.
  • Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Proven Ecom logistics expert with experience in the retail sector
  • 5 years experience in Ecom B2C logistics management
  • Proven experience in partnering with 3PL relationship management and suppliers with e-commerce expertise
  • Strong Ecom Logistics commercial awareness and knowledge of industry standards for ecom logistics and CRM processes plus good grasp of fulfilment and supply chain operating models
  • Knowledge of WMS systems required.
  • Ability to communicate at Board level as well as work across the organization.
  • Great at building effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to interrogate systems, analyse data and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be well organized, work to tight deadlines - able to work at pace and be comfortable with change.
  • Strong work ethic and must have the ability to use own initiative
  • Proven ability at delivering on time and to a high standard in a fast moving environment
  • Experience in developing business cases and managing change programmes
  • Strong people management and development experience
