Job Description

A leading scientific manufacturing company is currently recruiting for and Engineering Buyer to join them on a 6 months fixed term contract. As a buyer you will have a strong background within an engineered to ordered manufacturing environment, you should have a proven background of procuring mechanical and electronic components. Strong experience of working with an ERP system, preferably SAP Business One. This Engineering Buyer is an initial 6 months fixed term contract with a possibility of being extended. Engineering Buyer Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience of working within a procurement / purchasing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working with an ERP systems.
  • As an engineering buyer you should have experience of purchasing mechanical and electronic components.
  • Able to read and interpret Mechanical and Electronic drawings.
    • Engineering Buyer Responsibilities:
  • The engineering buyer will be responsible for the management and execution of purchasing requests.
  • Communicate with suppliers to expedite critical equipment as well as to improve delivery date for supplies.
  • Administer the ERP system to produce POs and supplier data.
  • The engineering buyer will be required to liaise with various stakeholders within the business.
  • The Engineering Buyer will be required to provide key support for physical inventory counts.
