Job Description

Diversity In Wine ScholarshipWe are delighted to announce the next intake onto our Majestic Diversity In Wine Scholarship commencing 11th October 2022.This is a no-strings-attached programme, with the aim of further developing diversity and inclusivity in the wine industry. Majestic plays a vital role in training and developing the wine professionals of the future.The scheme is open to anyone from a Black, Asian, Minority Ethinic or diverse background, and has been created with the insight of colleagues and key members of the wine trade.What does the Scholarship entailThis October well be opening up a further 12 places to study towards the Wine and Spirits Education Trusts Level 2 qualification in wine, with no costs or obligation to work for us afterwards.You will be tutored towards the qualification by Majestics Learning and Development Team with contributions from across the wine industry.The WSET is widely recognised as one of the worlds leading organisations in the field of wine education, and Majestic is proud to be one of its long-established Approved Programme Providers.To discover more about the WSETs Level 2 in Wines Qualification please visit:-level-2-award-in-wines/How will it workThe programme and final examination will be run online - however all materials, samples and glassware will be delivered to your home!October Intake: One cohort of 12 candidatesHow: a series of 8 weekly two-hour webinar sessions hosted on Zoom/Google WebinarWhen:Commencing Tuesday 11th October 2022 , with the final exam taking place on Tuesday 6th December 2022Schedule: Tuesday evenings from 5.45pm to 7.45pm. For two weeks of the programme, sessions will run on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings.Our aim is to give people from different backgrounds the opportunity to discover the amazing world of wine, and to provide the insight and confidence to join the industry in the future.Please note, this advert may close early if all places have been allocated before the deadline.
