Job Description

We are currently recruiting for one of the world’s leading Digital/Retail FMCG companies, for the role of Principal Database Administrator.Main Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain database systems (DB2) both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Maximise Stability, Scalability, Performance and Security of the database estate.
  • Make considered decisions around the implementation of complex pieces of work, with a focus on minimising downtime and risk
  • Working closely with Developers, QA & Performance Testers, Application Support, SAP, Business Intelligence, Information Security, Operations and Infrastructure teams.
    • Skills/ Requirements
  • Experience within DB2.
  • Exposure of various scripting technologies.
  • Exposure working with AIX, Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Database Performance andPerformance Tuning
