Job Description

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.Job Title:Chef / Culinary Trainer Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)Location:Home/Field based - Candidates must be flexible with travel across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areasSalary:£27,000 - £30,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)Package:Mileage/Travel expenses, excellent holiday entitlement, pension + much more!Type:Full-time, PermanentA great opportunity totransitionto a new and rewarding career withinthe training industry!Our client is happy to consider non-qualified Assessors,who possess solidexperience as a Head Chef, and ideally some exposure to learning anddevelopment.Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the AssessorDuties include:

  • Train, assess and deliver Chef / Cookery Apprenticeships up to Level 4 (Senior Culinary Chef).
  • This is a hybrid role and will include online delivery and face-to-face employer site visits.
  • Support learners to achieve Functional SkillsMaths and English tolevel 2.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Essential Criteria:
  • Must have experience ofworking at Senior / Head Chef level.
  • Must have experience of cooking a range of dishes from scratch.
  • Happy and confident to support learners with Functional Skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focussed.
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
