Job Description

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Train Passenger Assistants to be based at Waterbeach Train Station.The main priority is to give assistance where required across the train network.You will be supplied with a phone and therefore pick up the days instructions. The role will be a static and roaming position so you will need to be able to self-supervise.You will be required to provide the best possible journey for passengers. This will be achieved through:

  • Dedicated staff for assisting passengers with the flexibility to drop everything immediately to travel the network to help with delivering assistance for those that require it
  • Assisting passengers on and off the train.
  • Travelling with passengers on the train where required.
  • Assisting/accompanying passengers in, out and through the station.
  • Where required, waiting with the passenger for their taxi (or other vehicle) to arrive, and ensuring the taxi provided is suitable for the passengers travel need and resolving issues when they arise.
Duties for this role include:
  • Complete actions arising from our Station Standards inspections.
  • Offer proactive customer service
  • Provide a warm welcome to all passengers/
  • Anticipating the needs of passengers and aiming to create a lasting positive impression of our client.
  • Being visible to all passengers and offering information and advice.
  • Providing support with Passenger Information During Disruption.
Please only apply if you can get to Waterbeach for 6am AND be able to finish midnight and be able to get home:You will be required to have a clean driving license for a minimum of 2 years as you will be provided with a small van during your shifts so you can travel between stations.You will be contacted by a member of our team in due course. Each successful candidate will need to pass a drug and alcohol and medical examination (funded by us). This will then get you a place on our clients comprehensive training programme (which youare required to pass in order to get a start date).
