Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a number of Temporary Production Technicians on behalf of our client in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire.Our prestigious client designs, develops and manufactures thermal imaging and measuring equipment used in world-wide commercial systems, industrial, security and surveillance applications.Role and Responsibilities:We are looking to recruit temporary experienced Production Technicians to augment our current Production Team in the electro-mechanical assembly and test a variety of infrared thermal imaging related products. Production involves job or batch quantities and can range from cable assembly through to full system build and testThe role would suit candidates who have initiative, pay attention to detail, want the challenge and interest of working with a variety of technologies and where a flexible approach is necessary.Key Requirements (Qualifications and Skills):The successful candidate should have experience in roles that demonstrate the skills required for successful technical support: * A formal Electronic Engineering qualification (Btec Elect Eng) ONC/OND or City & Guilds Radio & TV* An understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals* Trouble-shooting, fault finding and debugging skills* SMT soldering (to 0201) and PCB repair skills* Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience* Computer literate* The ability to read schematic designs* Proficient in the use of standard test equipment e.g. Oscilloscope,DVM, signal generatorStart: Immediate Duration: ongoing tempLocation: Waterbeach, CambridgeHours: 37.5 hours a week Monday - FridayHourly Rate: £17.00/hourIf you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on or apply online.
