Job Description

We are seeking 2 candidates to join our client in Waterbeach within their production team. Firstly a kitting assistant to join the companys production team to prepare kits of electronic components required to manufacture a predefined quantity of an electroniccircuit board. Secondly an Assembly Operative that will undertake cable assembly including soldering & crimping. These roles will involve some heavy lifting, so it is essential that you are of fit health to undertake this role.Start: ASAPLocation: Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.50pm, Friday 8am - 12noon Hourly Rate: £9.00 per hour + Holiday Pay Duration: Temporary - PermanentKitting Assistant Duties:

  • Day to day kitting of Production items
  • Kitting all projected Work in Progress
  • Ensure all kits are complete to Bills of Materials
  • Cutting relevant cables as part of a BOM or samples
  • Assist with the maintenance of cable stock levels within Stores
  • Assist with the packing of factory goods
  • All admin requirements of the job
  • Maintaining tight control on stock held and the issuing process
Assembly Operative Duties:
  • Production of goods in line with drawings provided
  • Testing of products maintaining Quality standards and achieve 95% quality acceptance
  • Cable assembly including detailed soldering and crimping
  • Responsible for Quality output of own goods with less than 5% rework
  • Working towards IPC 620 qualification
  • Ability to conduct small, detailed soldering and crimping.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand them.
  • Ability to loom and produce cable assemblies
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift and carry between 10 - 25kgs
