Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading manufacturing teams, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaininghigh-quality standards. The Manufacturing Team Leader will play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive working environment.The RoleTeam Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of manufacturing personnel to achieve production goals.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to team members, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
Production Planning and Scheduling
  • Collaborate with production planning to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to production schedules.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules as needed to meet customer demands and deadlines. (Adapt to priorities and ad hoc demands).
  • Extensive experience with MRP/ERP package(s).
Quality Insurance
  • Enforce Company quality control measures and standards to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
Training and Development
  • Facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support employee development.
Safety Compliance
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Communication
  • Foster open communication within the team and between departments.
  • Report regularly to management on production metrics, challenges, and achievements.
Additional Duties
  • The duties and responsibilities described are not comprehensive and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • PC literate with MS office and MRP/ERP Packages.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
