We are a medium sized company engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of hardware and software for the thermal imaging and Industrial infrared sectors.Thermoteknix designs and manufactures infrared cameras and modules for security, aerospace, military and industrial applications. Products range from turn-key industrial systems for cement kilns, to miniature infrared cameras for stand-alone product or third party integration into hi-tech surveillance applications.The company is privately owned and has its headquarters in Waterbeach, Cambridge, UK. Thermoteknix has been recognised by receiving multiple Queen’s Awards in both Export and Innovation categories and is ISO 9001:2015 certified.CandidateThermoteknix is looking for an experienced Export Sales Manager to promote and grow export sales for its Industrial Product range aimed at the Cement and other heavy manufacturing industries. This vacancy will involve sales in our established territories of the Middle East, Turkey and Indian sub-continent and will require frequent overseas travel.The successful applicant will be within a reasonable commute of Cambridge and will be predominantly working at our headquarters in Waterbeach, when not travelling.Work Profile

  • Reporting directly to the Industrial Sales Manager.
  • To maintain and grow sales of industrial products through direct and indirect sales models.
  • To identify new end-users and channel partners to deliver sales and promotion of industrial systems into the cement and other industries using rotary kilns.
  • To support marketing plans with in-country promotional activities including, but not limited to, trade shows and exhibitions, field trials and customer visits (typical trips of 2 - 3 weeks duration).
  • Full product training will be given.
  • Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a proven sales track record, show a high level of technical competence, good organisation skills and have a passion for sales.
  • A background and a minimum of 3 years proven sales experience in instrumentation for industrial, technical or scientific applications.
  • You will have grown sales by managing and recruiting new agents/re-sellers and shown ability to expand overseas sales territories by critical performance evaluation and review of both direct end user and agent lead sales.
  • You will have a can do attitude, able to make corporate presentations to key decision makers as well as being able to make practical on-site product demonstrations to process/production engineers, to deliver product attributes and ROI.
  • Able to demonstrate experience and success in fostering trust and building relationships at all levels within an organisation.
  • Self motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
