Customer Support Engineer - Water beach, Cambridge - 35k Circa My client is a well-established manufacturer to the Space and Defence industries. Specialising in thermal imaging systems for security, aerospace defence and industrial applications. They are looking to recruit a Customer Support Engineer to assume responsibilityfor supporting the company’s products in the field and to commission systems worldwide as required.This role will suit a candidate with strong technical ability, who is comfortable with customer-facing responsibilities. Full training will be provided of the company’s products for the successful candidate.Main Duties:+ This role will involve occasional travel, potentially at short-notice, trips typically 1-2 weeks in duration.+ Field based, commissioning and service activities will make up approx. 25% of this role, the remaining time will be working from the office.+ Visiting new and existing customers to commission new systems, carry out service activities and delivering system training.+ Providing technical support to customers and updating technical and procedural documentation.Essential Skills (ideally all but not limited to):+ HNC or above in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering is desired, although relevant experience will be considered.+ Previous experience in international servicing and commissioning activities+ Happy with international travel when required.+ Good customer facing skills, good communication skills, both written and verbalSalary/Location/Education:+ This is a full-time position based in Water beach, Cambridge.+ Salary from 35k CircaIf you did need any assistance, we would be happy to help.
