We are looking for a part time Payroll and Accounts Assistant to assist in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation in this fantastic manufacturing company based in Washington. They will be responsible for processing payroll in theUK as well as an overseas payroll for two employees.The tasks you will undertake will include the following:Manage the payroll software package.Collect and verify timekeeping, holiday and absences information for all employee’s.Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leave and overtimeCalculate bonuses and commissions when appropriateManage and calculate taxes and deductionsMange the company Pension SchemesAdministration of Employee information, queries etc. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies within payrollPrepare and submit reports to senior ManagementYou will also provide support to the Financial Controller with routine tasks associated with payroll on an ad hoc basis. Other general accounts tasks will be limited to around 5 hours per week providing support to the Assistant Accountant. Payroll Job DutiesMaintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering dataCompute employee take-home pay based on time sheets, calculate overtime & other additions / deductionsAnswers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time recordsAdheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant lawIdentifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies on timesheet (anomalies) and payroll recordsComplete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial reviewDetermine organisations tax obligations by calculating national taxes as well as National Insurance contributions also Pension contributionsPerforms the distribution of wages through email or hard copy payslips, organise direct transfers to employees bank accountsMaintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Update the SAGE payroll system with any Tax Code updates, attachment of earnings & any other HMRC changes.Produce P32 & Calculate each month’s contributions for PaymentProduce & submit EPS FPS & RTI , produce & submit annual P60s and P11dsProcess pension contributionsResponsible for all monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliationsHours required for payroll duties per week are approx 20, if you are happy to assist in other finance areas the hours could increase to 25 per week. Either option can be considered.Our client can be flexible as to when the hours are worked eg. full days or less hours over 5 days, they can also consider some hybrid working.
