Job Description

MTrec’s New Opportunity;MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing and engineering client, based in Washington, who are looking to recruit a new Engineer or Technician from an Armed Forces background, to their growing organisation. Those with a Maintenance / Engineeringbackground in the Armed Forces are encouraged to apply as this role provides a fantastic opportunity for flexibly minded individuals to transition to industry. You will take a lead role on your shift, attending to machine break downs to ensure minimal downtime and achieve production targets. You will also play an important role in the improvement of the manufacturing process, analysingdata and contributing to the implementation of improvements to the overall efficiency of the machines. This role provides a combination of both maintenance and production engineering practices to help kickstart your transition from the Armed Forces into industry.If you are an Engineer or Technician looking for an exciting career move in a unique role, apply now for an immediate response.The Job You’ll Do;

  • To conduct autonomously machineries or technological area with high level of automation and assure the achievement of the production target in term of efficiency, quality, safety.
  • Working according to the prescriptions/cycles and established procedures you are responsible for.
  • To maintain the basic condition of the machineries.
  • AM calendar management and optimisation (5S);
  • Setting of the working parameters of machineries/equipment in accordance with technical dept;
  • Management of TAG forms.
  • Monitor OEE and promote action to guarantee the achievement of the target values.
  • Restore robot programs or machines in case of micro-stoppage.
  • Coordinate with PM the interventions of preventive maintenance.
  • Substitution of parts of consumable equipment/tools; to maintain the Visual Management tools.
  • Support the training of new potential machine leaders.
  • Identify training needs within the team.
  • Ensure all colleagues receive a PADR/PEP annual review against objectives.
  • Quality control.
About You;
  • Time served in an engineering disciple, preferably with an HNC.
  • A background, in a technical/engineering role within the armed forces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills (containment & countermeasure)
  • Good planning and analytical skills
  • Dynamic attitude, continuously looking for improvements
  • Good Technical understanding
