Job Description

TYNE & WEAR (507) Permanentup to £33k, 25 days Holiday + Bank HolidaysAre you an HR Advisor looking for a new challenge with real career progression We are looking for a HR individual with strong ER experience, confidence to lead training and a positive attitude to work.We are proud to be working with a new client that focuses on trust and happiness for their employees. Our client is really proud of the products they create and are looking for a HR Officer to help deliver the high quality service expected from the HR department.The role has a generalised focus with responsibility for the day to day HR management of the Production workforce. The role includes developing and supporting HR policies and procedures as well as improving the efficiency of the department.The Role includes:

  • Support all employee relations issues with the Production team.
  • Update and review procedures, standard letters and forms to ensure compliance to new employment legislation.
  • Support weekly payroll during absence of payroll officer along with any ad hoc payroll issues.
  • Proactively manage employee benefits.
  • Proactively manage long term sickness and assist Supervisors and Managers with short term sickness.
  • Proactively manage the Occupational Health provision within the Company.
  • Manage and participate in recruitment activities up to Supervisor/Engineer level positions.
  • Maintain all job description and personal specifications.
  • Training/coaching Managers/Supervision onsite.
Essential Criteria:Skills and Competencies
  • Detailed knowledge and experience and application of HR legislation.
  • Be able to efficiently communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
Experience
  • Experience of handling discipline and grievance procedures from beginning to end.
  • Experience of reporting and monitoring to tight deadlines.
  • At least 3 years experience in a busy HR team.
Education/Training
  • Professional qualification -CIPD or equivalent.
