Job Description

Test and Trials Engineer - Defence and Security Systems - Permanent - Attractive - Warwickshire A Test and Trials Engineer is required to join a Defence and Security company in Warwickshire. The Test and Trials Engineer will be UK based with overseas travel as required - Hybrid working is an option with a commute to Warwickshire on a regular basis.The Test and Trials Engineer will be involved with Systems legislative and compliance testing and program development for company equipment and sub-systems. The Test and Trials Engineer will be responsible for writing plans and programs for the testing ofspecialist equipment and systems.Test and Trials Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating test plans and programs.
  • Leading in-country demonstrations, tests & trials.
  • Analysing problems and developing ideas and designs to solve them.
  • Work closely with project staff to achieve deadlines.
  • Analysing data and preparing reports and presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Engage with supply chain, test facilities and other external resources.
  • Networking and collaborating with other engineers and professionals
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attending and hosting peer review meetings and providing input and updates.
  • Communicating with staff, directors, and clients.
The Test and Trials Engineer should have the following Qualifications Skills or Experience:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience with Military and/or specialist testing.
  • Experience creating test plans & programs.
  • Experience/knowledge of Defence Standards and Safety Critical Guidelines.
  • Experience with high voltage electrical systems or unmanned ground systems.
  • Ideally experience with military/specialist systems would be of benefit.
  • UK based with ability for some travel, including middle east.
