Job Description

Job title: Technical Business Analyst Location: Warwickshire ( Hybrid)Length: 2 Year Fixed Term Contact Advantage resourcing are working with the Public Sector domain who are currently recruiting a Technical Business AnalystThe main purpose of the role is to undertake robust research and analysis to identify new and innovative business capabilities and approaches for performing business activities across the clients Influence the design of business processes and systems toachieve maximum benefits of improved performance and cost reduction.Main Responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for understanding strategic business requirements and aims, collecting and interpreting data from research studies, pilot trials, undertaking gap analysis and delivering analysis and recommendations with the aim of maximising theefficiencies gained from business analysis resources.
  • Assessing and recommending the feasibility of opportunities where new and existing technologies can be used to improve business efficiency, service performance and reduce costs.
  • To build and maintain relationships with the Managed Service Provider and other stakeholders to ensure collaboration and the contribution of all relevant stakeholders is maximised.
  • Establish an understanding of business aims and attain the support of key stakeholders to business proposals, and sign off for business cases, specifically for the re-use of existing technical capability to support new business functions in order to reducecosts.
  • Influence and advise the force, suppliers and senior staff/ officers in order to achieve the best possible alignment between programmes/projects and both force and ICT strategies, targeting delivery of improved performance and reduced cost.
  • Recommend business functions and processes for investigation and analysis based on business knowledge and understanding of business performance
Key Skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral, customer focussed, team-worker, who is a flexible, adaptable, problem solver and able to work systematically and with little direct supervision.
  • Practical experience deploying DMAIC problem solving process and implementing root cause and corrective actions
  • Experience deploying business process mapping methodologies (e.g. VSM, BPMN)
  • Experience of using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive tangible business results, demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results
  • Analyses, develops, and documents programme/project supporting processes that supports the Forces business change plans.
  • The BA can represent the force to engage with representatives of national agencies on the strategic national initiatives and directions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to gather and assimilate information.
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate/mitigate risks and find suitable solutions to issues.
