SOC ManagerUtilitiesRemote / occasional office presence only when needed6 months - temp to perm£700 - £800 per dayIn short: SOC Manager required to join a global utilities client in standing up a brand new SOC.This is a temp to perm role. You will come into the business as a contractor with a view to a permanent conversion including a strong salary and excellent benefits.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Centre manager responsible for building and running a brand new CSOC - a 24/7 Cyber Security Operations Centre monitoring Enterprise, ICS and OT systems including Critical National Infrastructure. The successful candidate will build a modern, risk-based CSOC, using modern tooling and methodology including working to create a security function that will become a business enabler, to drive continual improvements and help secure some of our nations mostcritical assets.Key responsibilities for the role include:Ensuring incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation and monitoringDirect management, hiring and nurturing of the team of Security AnalystsWork with the other Cyber Leaders to create a Security Operations function that keeps the organisation safe and keeps our services running.Provide mentoring and oversight to the analyst team to help the team grow and develop.Suitable candidates will have:Proven SOC Manager experience, and you can inspire, lead, care for and drive a team of analysts who will be working in an environment that could easily overwhelm, if not managed appropriately.Communication skills to explain technical or cyber findings to a variety of audiences, including business stakeholders, officials and non-technical individuals.Highly Desirable would be experience in operations and threats in OT and Industrial Control Systems.What you getInitially offered as a contract role while the new systems are stood up, the role will transfer to a permanent role with: A competitive salary between £80,000 - £100,000 depending on experience Candidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.
