Job Description

Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist Reference: ORWAR239Location: Warwickshire Salary Expectations: £36,000 - £42,000Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a RIBA Charted practice based in Warwickshire. This fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist comes at a time of significant growth for my clients, in a bidto expand even further in the future.The successful candidate will have worked as a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist in a UK practice for the last 10 years on projects within the Commercial sector. This will ideally involve refurbishments on Education, Hotels and Offices.On offer is a competitive salary, a generous pension contribution and the opportunity to grow a successful practice at a time of growth.Responsibilities for this Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist role:

  • To represent my client at the highest level inside and outside of the office building
  • Provide leadership, management, and direction
  • Effectively assess team and individual strengths and use to their greatest ability
and potential
  • Deliver a quality service for all projects that meets or exceeds customer
expectations
  • Check drawings and specifications prepared by ATP and the consultant team, for
coordination, technical accuracy, and compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post
  • Demonstrate personal commitment and `lead by example` to staff
members
  • Oversee a team of Architects and Technical staff
  • Prepare technical documentation and oversee production of drawings
Essentials required for this Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist role:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A sound knowledge of Building Regulations
  • A proficiency in Vectorworks - although training can be provided if applicants are currently using a different software in practice
  • A flexible and open mind about new ways of working
