They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and North-Eastern US in an efficient, reliable and safe manner. Our client is introducing an annual survey as a business as usual process, this is a pipeline survey known as "CIPS" (Close interval potential survey) effectively they survey pipelines annually covering the whole gas network UK wide maintaining the integrity of the pipes. They are not currently set up for this process so they need a Project Manager to manage the framework of contractors who provide this surveying work and to provide a link between contractors and site team to conduct requirements and to manage the contract from a service level agreement ensuring performance and costs are adhered to. Desired Experience. 1. Manage a team of contractors completing pipeline surveys across England, Scotland, and Wales2. Utilities/hands on experience3. Work closely with operational teams to arrange access for the survey work, scrub clearance and defect resolution4. Manage the financial performance of the project identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved outputs5. Ensure the safety and compliance of the contractors during the survey work by reviewing their method statements and risk assessments6. Complete project planning activities including the creation of spreadsheets to capture key pipeline information from previous surveys7.
