Job Description

Production Engineering ManagerWarwickshirePermanentCirca £50,000 per annumA well-established, professional engineering and manufacturing company are seeking a Production Engineering Manager to join their team near Stratford Upon Avon on a Permanent basis. Paying a starting salary of circa £50,000 per annumAs the Production Engineering Manager, you will be leading a team of between 10 and 15 employees working on fabrication and engineering projects. You will take ownership of all production related activity including procurement, quality, fabrication, assembly,paint, testing and commissioning.Production Engineering Manager duties and responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the production process, quality, H&S, workflow and manufacturing reliability and productivity,
  • Managing multiple projects including resource planning, costing, project reviews,
  • Allocation of production resources (fabrication, machining, painting, assembly, purchasing & quality) to achieve project deadlines,
  • Managing the production team day to day, with individually set objectives, [performance reviews, training matrixes and ensuring company records are maintained,
  • Develop and maintain production plans to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed timeframes,
  • Ensure all factory / workshop equipment and processes are in place and available for productive manufacture,
  • Drive continuous improvement activities across the factory / workshop.
The ideal Production Engineering Manager will have:
  • Degree or time served in Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering,
  • Management experience in a shop floor production environment or similar is essential,
  • Technical expert in light fabrication and machining,
  • Understanding of health & safety practices and quality management systems,
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills are essential,
  • Full UK driving license,
  • Must be prepared to travel domestically and internationally if required.
Working Hours:Monday – Thursday 7am – 5.15pm
