Job Description

Trakm8 holdings group PLC is a market leader in the fast-growing vehicle telematics market sector. Based in Coleshill and other UK locations but with a global marketplace Trakm8 is well placed to take advantage of current market opportunities. Increased fuelcosts, reduction in operating costs and numerous employment laws such as Duty of Care are all driving increased interest in our products and services. As such we now have an opening for an experienced Production Engineer to join our Established Manufacturingteam here at our Head office in Coleshill.Main Responsibilities of the role:
  • Testing, fault finding and repair of all Trakm8 products
  • Completion of test reports and documentation in accordance with company requirements and in line with the Quality Management System standards.
  • Upgrading and modification of PCB assemblies and finished product.
  • Interpretation and implementation of changes to assemblies and finished product in accordance with documentation.
  • Identifying product quality and performance issues and raising appropriate non-conformances.
  • Liaising with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Manufacturing in support of meeting customer requirements and finished product quality and performance.
  • Keep informed and support the Company ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO9001 Quality Management System and improvement team activities including seeking new green opportunities and suggestions on how the business can improve.
  • Responsibility for adhering to the Companys ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental and Health and Safety management systems.
Requirements:
  • experience in production/industrial engineering; managerial experience a plus
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access)
  • Knowledge of mathematics, physics and mechanics
  • Ability to effectively lead and direct employees
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to test product by following test procedures accurately and meeting standard times.
  • Ability to use test and repair equipment such as AOI, SMT rework, BGA rework, digital power supplies and multi meters.
  • Experience in high technology testing methods.
  • Experience in soldering and rework methods to IPC standards.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing facility.
  • Competent in MS Office.
  • Repair and diagnostic fault-finding experience to component level.
