Main Purpose of the Job Mercury xRM Limited is a provider of market leading technology solutions to the recruitment industry. Its primary product is a custom solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 which is aimed primarily at recruitment agencies and businesses within professional staffingsectors.We are looking to strengthen our Product team with a Product Owner. You will be joining a dynamic, creative and forward thinking team who will shape the future product development for the company in line with the organisational strategy. You will be an integral part of the SCRUM team and be the conduit for all stakeholders involved in the project. You will have the opportunity to bring forward ideas gained from your experience and implement them within the team to further improve the existingprocesses and develop new product innovation. You need to be able to manage your workload and accurately present information/analysis to stakeholders. By continuously providing relevant feedback, you will ensure the end product meets the highest standards and achieves the overall goal of the project. Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesThe Product Owner is responsible for the following core activities: - Construct business cases for new products/enhancements- Be accountable for the delivery of roadmap items- Work within the SCRUM teams in a cross functional environment- Utilising knowledge of the recruitment sector, identify the future potential of developments and what POCs (Proof of Concepts)/prototyping may need to be created to justify direction of development - Understand the customer / user base and their product requirements - Manage internal and external stakeholders - Define User Stories and acceptance criteria - Maintain and prioritise product level backlogs - Set the Sprint Goal in collaboration with the SCRUM team- Coordinate the delivery of the project being worked on with internal stakeholders- Work with other members of your team to iteratively improve working practicesRelationshipsThe Product Owner has a responsibility to manage the expectations of the following stakeholders.Internal:- Development- Marketing- Sales- CSMExternal:- Clients- Partners- SuppliersKnowledge, Skills & Experience Essential skills required include:- Demonstrable expertise in the whole Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)- Excellent written communication skills with experience writing comprehensive yet clear, well-structured requirements as user stories- Excellent verbal communication skills to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders- Ability to fully define a problem and assist in solution identification- Ability to present items and hold workshops in formal/informal environments- Ability to work in an environment which provides a responsive customer experience- Experience of working within a SCRUM/Agile environment.Desirable:- Able to demonstrate an understanding of recruitment and a view of the future direction and requirements of the market as a whole- SCRUM Certification (SCRUM Master or Product Owner)- Understanding of Microsoft technology solutions including Office 365 and Dynamics 365IT Executive Group is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
