Job Description

Job Role: Product Manager (Insurance Telematics) Location: Coleshill, Birmingham B46 Salary: Negotiable Dependant on Experience + Car AllowanceBenefits: 25 days holiday, Pension, life AssuranceTrakm8 is a UK based technology leader in fleet management, insurance telematics, optimisation and dashboard camera systems. Through IP owned technology, the Group analyses data collected by its installed base of telematics units to fine tune the algorithms that are used to produce its telematics based solutions; these score driver behavior, monitor vehicle health and continuously improve the security and operational efficiency of both private drivers and company fleets.The Groups product portfolio includes cameras (including the recently launched integrated telematics camera), self-installed telematics units and technology to eliminate distracted driving due to mobile phones, and it has over 217,000 installed units reporting to its servers.As we continue to grow we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager with a background in Insurance Telematics to join our team of Engineers here at our Headquarters in Coleshill.Main Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist in creation of product roadmap by analysing both competitors and customer Requirements
  • Assist in the pricing and positioning strategies
  • Work closely with the CTO and Sales and Engineering teams to ensure that all the requirements are captured and documented to allow development to be completed
  • Support Sales teams with major contract opportunities, including supporting tenders and bids.
  • Prioritisation of development work including new projects, feature enhancements and bug fixes to ensure delivery timescales are in line with roadmap and customer expectations
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Drive the development of our Insurance Telematics (including Crash Detection, driver scoring, and broker propositions) product in line with our core roadmap but also incorporating bespoke projects
    • Requirements:
  • Proven Experience in an Insurance Product role
  • Graduate in Mathematics, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Strong stakeholder management with an ability to influence outcomes
  • Strong commercial focus with a client centric approach
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
