Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Packaging Manager to join us on a 8-months fixed term contract. You will be in charge of the development of packaging components and the delivery of major projects to SDUK standards in the Cheese and B&Scategory and all project types to support SDUK growth and innovation targets.YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY

  • Managing the agreement of R&D brief with key stakeholders (Marketing, Product R&D, Operations, Procurement etc.) and agree changes
  • Keeping project trial costs under control and to budget and management of packaging trial budget
  • Ensuring adherence to company, CSR, retailer and food safety policies on all projects
  • Arranging and completing packaging trials (line trials, transit trials, leaker testing, abuse testing, materials testing)
  • Ensuring due diligence requirements are completed to required standards at each stage of the R&D process (specifications, pallet plans, cutter guides)
  • Supporting sites with technical packaging challenges and problem solving outside of agreed specification
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
  • Technically qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • Experienced in project management
  • Used to working in and have knowledge of the food industry, packaging industry, suppliers and the properties and application of a wide range of packaging materials and formats
