MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANto £35kNear Coleshill, BirminghamOur client has been established for more than 35 years and are recognised market leaders in the design and development, manufacture and distribution of an impressive portfolio of electrical cabling and connection solutions for supply throughout the world,and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to complement their existing professional team of 3 engineers and be responsible for the plannedpreventative and reactive maintenance and repair of plant equipment, tools and processes within a busy manufacturing environment.Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator and realistically qualified to at least HNC or above in Mechanical engineering, the successful Mechanical Maintenance Technician candidate will demonstrate at least 4 years experience gained within a Mechanical Manufacturingenvironment and demonstrate previous Power Press experience as well as comprehensive skills and knowledge in Pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.With excellent fault finding and communication skills at all levels, you will be skilled in reading and interpreting Hydraulic and Pneumatic drawings and will have previous experience of working on CNC Machines and Power Press machinery, with a ForkliftLicence proving distinctly advantageous.Able to take a responsible approach to Health, Safety and Environmental risks in relation to your own job role and others, you will control such risks or report them to coordinators or the management team appropriately and will respond to immediate machinerybreakdowns and perform fault diagnosis and repair activities on a range of equipment, liaising with suppliers and other maintenance/technical support from machine manufacturers where required.You will specify replacement parts and tools as well as conducting PPM, including servicing, inspecting, periodic tests, and cleaning plant and other associated equipment and overhaul and replace mechanical parts as required.Working on a Monday to Thursday (8am to 5pm) and Friday (8am to 12 noon) in a prestigious facility based near Coleshill, this is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical maintenance technician with a meticulous attention to detail approachto join an established and highly successful progressive Midlands manufacturing operation offering both stability and career progression for suitably experienced individuals.Contact the Maintenance Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in confidence to for further details.
