Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: WarwickshireSalary: Up to £50k (Dependant on experience)Job Type: Full Time / PermanentThe RoleAn exciting opportunity to start working for a business that is working with new revolutionary designs and technologies that will be at the forefront of their sectors now and into the future.Working in sectors including compressors, Generators, and energy storage devices with the latest projects in electric motors, transmissions, and e-axles.You will act as a critical team leader in developing new methods of manufacture for machining and processes of internal components to drawings specifications.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Programme Mazak machines for various components on various machine platforms.
  • Work closely with quality during 1st off to production.
  • Lead process improvements and NPI projects to the shop floor.
  • Support the machining cells on real time problem resolution and technical issues.
  • Be proactive in the recommendation of new or improved manufacturing techniques.
  • Supply cost down analysis and project plans to reduce prime costs.
  • Identify waste and define methods of reduction within the process to allow continual improvement.
The Candidate
  • A proven track record within Production / Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
  • CNC machine tool programming (3, 4 & 5 axis machines).
  • Able to supervise / lead teams were needed.
  • Setting up of new processes - 1st off production, tooling, programming etc.
  • Able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models.
  • A good knowledge of castings, machining techniques & cutting tools.
  • Knowledge of Mazak controls.
  • Extensive knowledge in machining large/small cast & steel components.
  • Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP & Environmental Issues.
  • Experience implementing Lean improvements.
