Job Description

Job title: Management AccountantLocation: Warwick/HybridDuration: 6 months initiallyThe Role:Reporting to the Management Accountant Lead, the Management Accountant Transition Support role works closely with the programme team and the wider Management Accounting team to ensure the establishment and implementation of effective management accountingprocesses. The role will be supporting the Management Accounting team with testing, training, and adoption of new processes, to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Management Accounting function.Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in transition activities for Day 1 readiness including process handover and documentation, knowledge transfer, training, data cleansing and acceptance testing to ensure smooth and effective transition.
  • Support the collation of process pain points and transformation opportunities and support the Management Accounting team in designing and delivering plans to address these.
  • Support the Management Accounting team through Early Life Support (ELS), collating any issues that arise post Day 1, attending ELS meetings with the client Group and ensuring the appropriate remediations are put in place and any acceptance testing requiredhas been adequately performed.
  • Ensure that all controls are working effectively across Management Accounting and provide a further level of assurance.
  • Proactively seek out and identify any transition issues and support the Management Accounting team to resolve them effectively.
  • Support with ad-hoc Management Accounting activities as required by the Accounting & Reporting Lead to ensure the level of service is maintained pre and post Day.
  • Support in the development of internal and external communication material to ensure relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the transition period.
Requirements:
  • Broad experience of Management Accounting processes.
  • Experience of using SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Experience in transformations involving the transition of Management Accounting processes is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of governance, risk & internal control frameworks.
