Job Description

IT Security Project Manager - 100% home/remote-based contract - 6 months - £500-£600 per day Our client, a global enterprise technology and telecoms business are currently hiring for an IT Security Project Manager to assume ownership for key projects associated with their global security services offering to a key client, and to and manage the overall delivery schedule and timeline for multiple projects to ensure customer expectations and agreed delivery dates are met.Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and scheduling resources across multiple organisations to align project requirements with business goals and key objectives.
  • Identifying, monitoring, reporting and escalating project related issues to achieve timely objectives.
  • Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives.
  • Utilising project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
  • Maintaining excellent communication with functional team members, direct management, and external customers to ensure early identification of issues a timely reporting of status.
  • Mentoring junior project managers.
    • Essential Requirements
  • Strong experience of managing IT Security related projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas Identity and Access Management, Threat and vulnerability Assessment, Governance projects, Penetration testing and/or Security device install/configuration/management
  • Strong experience delivering complex technical projects.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM or equivalent).
    • Desired Experience
  • Experience working with external clients in a Professional Services/Managed Services type organisation, with some type of consulting experience.
  • IT Security related certifications (CISM, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GMON)
  • ITIL V3 Foundation certification.
  • Telecommunications engineering, planning, and/or operations knowledge.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
    • This is an immediate start sole trader/PAYE umbrella contract role for 6 months, with the potential to 12, 18 or 24 months (although this is not guaranteed).Due to Covid-19, this position is a 100% remote/home-based role working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
