Job Description

Health & Safety Manager. Fully office based Monday to Friday. Due to expansion, my client is looking for a NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety Manager with experience gained within a commercial firm. You will need a car & driving licence as the role requirestravel within England.As a Health & Safety Manager you will be:

  • Evaluating the existing health & safety management policy, arrangements and organisation and implement an action plan accordingly
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new and upcoming HS&E legislation.
  • Promote, support, and establish a positive safety culture.
  • Write, provide and review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Investigate, record, report on and implement corrective action for all incidents and near misses.
  • Carry out audits and inspections across all locations and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Create and deliver Toolbox talks and induction programmes and manage associated training needs and requirements
  • Respond to relevant requests from clients or other third parties for HS&E documentation or action.
  • Create and regularly update/review the risk registers to ensure that all risk items are correctly identified and being addressed in order of priority.
  • Audit and maintain all necessary records which are required to demonstrate that the company is compliant with relevant legislation
  • Training of staff as required including manual handling, safe working methods, fork lift driving
As Health & Safety Manager (NEBOSH), you should have experience of both Safety Management and warehouse environment
  • NEBOSH (or equivalent) qualification in Health and Safety Management
  • Have superb communication skills and the ability to engage confidently to build effective working relationships and drive change
  • Training qualifications would be ideal
