Spencer Clarke Groupare working closely alongside a Local Authority in Warwickshire to assist with the appointment of a Head of Planning & Building Control on an initial 3-month contract.We are looking to speak to senior leaders with significant working experience in either planning policy or development control (or both) since becoming MRTPI who have ideally worked for a Local Authority previously.Contract DetailsPay ScaleINSIDE IR35 £80 per hour (The hourly rate is negotiable so please still get in touch if you work to a higher rate of pay)Location Hybrid workingContract Length 3 months, highly likely to be extendedThe purpose of the role is:- To be responsible for the provision and management of a comprehensive Planning, Building Control & Land Charges service, including all related delegated authority, ensuring that the allocation of work to, and carrying out of work by individuals meets legalrequirements and service objectives.- To make delegated Planning decisions, reporting and making recommendations to the Planning Applications Committee.- To advise elected Members on operational and policy issues, and support scrutiny and decision-making processes in respect of Planning.- To have overall responsibility for contract management of outsourced services relevant to the remit of the role, to include Building Control.If you are interested in the role or would like to know more, please apply now, then contact Joe at Spencer Clarke Group on .
