Job Description

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of financial accounts for month & quarterly close
  • To provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders. These will include the RTR lead and Group Financial Controller
  • Work closely with site accountants to deliver on the financial performance of the business unit and relevant reporting
  • Support the work & development of 1 or 2 Assistant Accountants within the team
  • Deliver key balance sheet a/c reconciliations which will feed into the overall entity reconciliations.
  • The GL accountant will complete relevant areas in relation to annual and statutory accounting
  • Work on cross-functional projects where required providing expert guidance from a financial viewpoint.
  • Contribute to strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organization and incorporate the changes as required
Experience
  • Qualified Accountant - ACCA or ACA
  • Previous experience working in a Shared Services environment or handling large clients within an accountancy practice is preferred
  • Use of SAP
  • Flexible and willing to work in a "hands on" manner to ensure that all tasks are completed by the team on a timely basis.
  • Possesses the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Able to assimilate large amounts of information quickly
  • Ability to handle change effectively
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SOX would be a bonus, but not essential
  • Ability to organise own workload effectively to ensure completion of work by targeted SLAs
